Small kitchen appliances are great garage sale items, but knowing how to price them involves a bit of research. Typically, garage sales do not bring in top dollar so you have to consider why you are selling the small kitchen appliances that you have never used. Remembering that you simply want to be rid of them and clear the space they take up will help you choose the prices and assure you that they will be sold rather than boxed back up and put away again in an already crowded cabinet.

1 Sort and clean the appliances that you are selling at your garage sale.
2 Find any boxes and original instructions that you have for them.
3 Test the items to see which of the appliances are working and have all of their accessories and which need to be marked as is. Utilize removable stickers to clearly mark the condition of each item on the appliances.
4 Visit any garage sales in your area that are advertising small appliances and make note of the prices on items similar to what you will be selling.
5 Read the items-for-sale classified section of your local newspaper, check for listings for items that are similar to yours and make note of their prices.
6 Visit an online auction site like eBay or eBid, review the listings to see what your particular items are listed at and make note of how many items are listed and what range of prices are currently listed.
7 Price the items based on your research and your desire to sell them and mark the price on the sticker.
